I’ve always been in love with photography even if I haven’t done any particular course on that.
Anyway, I clearly remember myself when I was five years old, and even before that, selecting from my mum fashion magazines the pictures that I liked and gluing these on paper…and these were my really first mood boards.
Growing up I always read a lot of fashion worldwide magazines and I go to all the photography exhibitions that I can.
I think that all that maked me as I am now, my strong sense of fashion, my strong ideas on how I like a picture to be taken to obtain the wanted result.
Mi è sempre piaciuta la fotografia anche se non ho ancora avuto occasione di seguire nessun corso.
Mi ricordo di me bambina, avrò avuto forse cinque anni, e ritagliavo ed incollavo su un quaderno le mie immagini preferite dalle riviste di moda di mia madre…i miei primi veri mood boards.
Crescendo ho sempre letto tante riviste di moda provenienti da tutto il mondo e ho visitato tutte le mostre di fotografia che ho potuto.
Tutto questo ha concorso alla mia formazione, al mio forte senso per il fashion, alle mie idee solide su come voglio che una foto sia scattata per ottenere il risultato che ho in mente.

The exhibition is called “Guy Bourdin – Image maker” because he was really into image creation in all the possible ways, films, drawings, sketches, paintings and photos.
La mostra si chiama “Guy Bourdin – Image Maker” (creatore di Immagini) perche’ lui era un creatore di immagini in tutti i campi, film, disegni, schizzi, pittura e foto.
Guy Bourdin was one of the first fashion photographers and I’m definitely in love with his colours and the meticulous study in his compositions.
Guy Bourdin e’ stato uno dei primi fotografi di moda e io sono assolutamente attratta dal suo uso dei colori e dallo studio delle sue composizioni.
You will see a lot of red used as exclamation mark against monochrome compositions.
Nei suoi scatti vedrete tanto rosso usato come punto esclamativo.
You will see pink as well, not baby pink but a more warm soft shade.
Un po’ di rosa, non rosa baby ma una tonalita’ piu’ calda e soft.
A touch of green, possibly on satin or silk shiny fabrics.
Un tocco di verde, possibilmente su tessuti lucidi come satin e seta.
His shoot are sensual, sexy.
You can really feel his big passion for women and, in particular, for legs.
I suoi scatti sono sensuali, sexy.
Si puo’ chiaramente percepire la sua passione per le donne e, in particolare, per le gambe.
He was influenced by different artists, Man Ray and the Surrealism, Alfred Hitchcock and his movies, Eric Von Strohein and the silent era movies.
Along with the “Droste” effect (the effect of a picture appearing within itself, in a place where a similar picture would realistically be expected to appear) taken from Dutch advertisement.
Lui e’ stato influenzato da diversi artisti, Man Ray ed il Surrealismo, Alfred Hitchcock e i suoi film, Eric Von Strohein e il cinema muto.
Come pure l’effetto “Droste” (l’effetto di una foto che compare in se stessa in maniera realistica) ispirato da una pubblicita’ olandese.

He was so into colours that the make-up brand Nars decided to create a collection inspired by Bourdin images.
I cannot resist to the make-up bag containing five long lasting eye-liners, classic black and brown, daring purple and blue, the eye enhancer white.
I’ve also found two amazing eye shadows, one gold Mississippi Mermaid and the other copper brown Cambodia, both quite sparkly. They look amazing while mixed up together. The gold tone is perfect to be mixed with almost all the eye shadow colours in your make up bag.

I suoi colori cosi’ forti e netti hanno ispirato una collezione al brand di make-up Nars.
Io non ho resistito alla pochette contenente cinque eye liners lunga durata. I classici nero e marrone, i piu’ arditi viola e blu, ed il bianco per ingrandire gli occhi.
Ho anche trovato due meravigliosi ombretti, uno in tono oro Mississippi Mermaid e un marrone ramato Cambodia. Stanno benissimo miscelati fra loro. Quello oro e’ perfetto in accoppiamento con praticamente tutti gli ombretti che potere avere nella vostra borsa del trucco.
