WGSN – FW 2015 Trend forecasting (colour, prints and fabric)

During the Pure – London (see relevant post https://mygypsyworld.wordpress.com/2015/02/10/pure-london-feb-2015/) I was really interested by the WGSN (http://www.wgsn.com/en/) presentation, by Sara Maggioni, senior editor, about Trend forecasting for Autumn Winter 2015.

Durante il Pure – London (vedi il post qui https://mygypsyworld.wordpress.com/2015/02/10/pure-london-feb-2015/) e’ stata molto interessante una presentazione di Sara Maggioni, WGSN (http://www.wgsn.com/en/) senior editor, sui trend per l’Autunno Inverno 2015.

Colours – Colori
1. Browns: heritage and outdoor styles.
1. Marroni: sull’influenza dello stile “vita all’aria aperta”.

2. Camel: moving from classic to a more fashionable style. Mix of tailored items with sneakers.
2. Cammello: declinato in modo più trendy. Mix di elementi sartoriali e sneakers.

3. Red cranberry: with pink undertones, this colour works very well on lace and (fake!!!) fur.
3. Rosso mirtillo: con base rosa, questo colore e’ particolarmente adatto per elementi in pizzo o pelliccia (rigorosamente finta mi auguro!).

4. Indigo blue: under the denim influence, this colour is having a big moment.
4. Blu indigo: questo colore sta avendo un gran momento in seguito alla diffusione dei capi in denim.

5. Grey: not completely disappeared, it is now going towards a dark shade. Can be mixed with pastel colours to lift up the masculine feel.
5. Grigio: non scompare del tutto, vira verso toni più scuri. Può essere miscelato ai colori pastello per alleggerire l’effetto maschile.

6. Orange: this is the bright colour of the season.
6. Arancio: è l’illuminante della stagione.

7. Neutrals: these ones can be used for braver silhouettes.
7. Neutri: si possono usare su silhouettes più ardite.

8. Pastels: still a big trend.
8. Pastello: sempre un grande trend.

9. Jewellery tones: good on (fake!!!) fur and satin. Perfect for party dresses.
9. Colori gioiello: ottimi su pelliccia (finta!!!) e satin. Perfetti per abiti da party.

Prints – Stampe
1. Classic patterns revisited in a overscale.
1. Stampe classiche rivisitate in maxi formato
2. Animalier: always one of my favourites!
2. Animalier: sempre tra i miei preferiti!

3. Mismatching patterns and pattern’s scale.
3. Miscelare fantasie e le loro dimensioni.

4. Mirror image: positive and negative prints.
4. Stampe specchiate: positivo/negativo.

5. Tribal: geometric prints are back. Not really my style unless speaking about the amazing Stella Jean.
5. Tribali: sono tornate le stampe geometriche. Non proprio il mio stile, a meno che non si parli di Stella Jean.

6. Floral: still a trend, more commercial. New dark florals as in the amazing Valentino pre-fall show.
6. Floreali: sempre di tendenza, più commerciali. Declinate in toni dark come nella spettacolare collezione pre-fall di Valentino.

Fabric – Tessuti
1. Sportswear.

2. Camoscio.

4. Total artic (fake!!!) fur or fur details
4. Pelliccia artica completa o dettagli in pelliccia (finta!!!).

5. Colour injection.
5. Iniezioni di colore.

6. Lots of details and extreme adornement.
6. Molti dettagli e decorazioni estreme.

7. Drammatic turn ups.
